The Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME) is committed to protecting the public while supporting healthcare professionals who may be impaired in their ability to practice safely and effectively.
If you believe that you may be suffering from a condition that could impair your ability to practice, or if you have concerns regarding a colleague whose ability to practice may be impaired, confidential resources are available.

Approved Evaluation and Treatment Facilities for LSBME Licensees
Licensees participating in a Board monitoring program must obtain evaluations and treatment only from facilities approved by the LSBME and HPFL. Evaluations, assessments, and treatment obtained from non-approved providers may not satisfy Board requirements.
Individuals seeking evaluation or treatment should contact the appropriate monitoring program before scheduling services. A current list of Board-approved evaluation and treatment facilities will be provided upon request to ensure compliance with program requirements.
